Anthoula Katsimatides is an actress, producer, writer, radio host, teacher, and philanthropist. Prior to Hellenic Roots Inc., she was the co-founder of Akrites Productions. She is the Co-Producer and Greek dance Choreographer for Opa! The Musical which has had many successful runs.

Anthoula has thrived in many arenas, including a tenure with former Governor George Pataki as his Community Affairs Special Assistant. Anthoula was appointed Director of Family Relations at the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation. Currently, she proudly sits on the board of directors of the National September 11th Memorial and Museum. She also founded The Johnny and Mikey Katsimatides Foundation for Life (www.jamfoundation.org) in honor of her two brothers.

As an actor, Anthoula has had the pleasure of performing off-Broadway in “Murder in the First” with The Director’s Company at 59E59Theater and “My Big Gay Italian Wedding” at St. Luke’s Theater. On-screen: Luc Besson’s “Malavita” (9/2013), Ang Lee’s “Taking Woodstock”. TV appearances:“Damages”, “Big Lake”, “In Treatment”.
